This past week was all about survival.
Survive my first week back to work...barely
Survive what may be my babe teething
Surviving on next to no sleep
Surviving multiple setbacks
But hey! It's fall and here in Central Virginia the leaves are turning, the air is crisp and the nights are cool. What hasn't been about survival has been about family time and fun. Our church was having a fundraiser by selling pumpkins so we grabbed a couple. This worked out wonderfully since our annual pumpkin patch trip was rained out.
We did manage to attend my hubby's 10 year high school reunion. It was a lot of fun!
With the fall comes back to school and our church celebrated teachers with little goody bags. So sweet!
I also have my mind set to make these Melt in Your Mouth Pumpkin Cookies this week with G.
Hopefully this week will go a little more smoothly and I'll be able to get in some more Fall fun.

ReplyDeleteHm I don't think my class managed a 10 year reunion...I was 2004 so that would have been last year. Maybe I just missed it ha. They did do a 5 year but I was out of the state at the time. Always fun to catch up with your class. I suppose I see most of them on facebook as well.
Make some cookies and report back! They look good. I've seen them around but not tried them myself.

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear your first week back to work hasn't been the greatest. We're dealing with the teething/no sleep thing too, and I can't imagine having to function at work on top of it all. Glad to hear you still managed to squeeze in some fun stuff. Hoping this week runs smoothly for you!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, seriously?! You live in VA? Whyyyy have I thought you lived in Minnesota or Wyoming? lol so random, right? For some reason I thought you were on a farm. Ha! All about survival over here too girlfriend. Teeth and 5am wake up calls to start our day. Yikes!
