Everything lately has been about "End of Year" in the work world and "Baby" everywhere else. School finished for me on the 5th. Since then I've been trying to complete all of my maternity leave paper work and prepare maternity plans for the beginning of the year. Maternity leave has been a much larger challenge this time around. I'm not going to be able to take the amount of time I had hoped, which completely breaks my heart (I cry just about every time I think about it) and I am not allowed to set up my room for the start of the year, which poses its own challenges. Things are just not going according to plan. Regardless, I'm grateful for the time I will have at home with our new baby and our daughter. I'm looking forward to it...just not the extremely tight months ahead.
We recently had a 3D/4D ultrasound done and I am smitten. The cheeks on our sweet boy melt my heart. I can't believe how much he already looks like his sister!

I've been busy trying to clean the house and transition G's room into the room that she and her brother will share for as long as we are in this house. More to come on that later, but I am making some progress.
Last weekend our sweet friend threw us a darling baby shower. It was so fun to celebrate the coming of this new little life.

Otherwise, I've been trying to soak up this extra time I have with G. I've shed some tears as I think about how things with her are changing. She is growing up so quickly and I don't want to miss a thing.
